Matt Wechsler is an award winning director from Chicago and the founder of Hourglass Films. He is a self taught filmmaker who directed and edited his first documentary at the age of 17 and his first narrative film two years later. Matt began his career at RDR Productions in Northbrook, where he produced and edited videos for over 300 clients. He recently won best director in the 2011 International 24 Hour Film Race Competition and his new documentary, "Different is the New Normal" is scheduled to air nationally on PBS in May of 2012. His passion for entertaining is the backbone of his filmmaking and he is always looking for new challenges and meaningful projects.
